Effective 30 September 2026
Privacy policy
snpz is run by Reisinger Media LLC of Elliottsburg, Pennsylvania. This page says what we collect, why, who sees it, and how to make it stop. It is written to be read, not skimmed past.
Two kinds of people
Shops are our customers: the owner and the barbers who sign in to the app. Clients are the shop's customers: the people who book a cut, get a reminder text, or call the receptionist.
A shop's client list belongs to the shop. We hold it and act on it on the shop's instructions, the way a booking book or a filing cabinet would. If you are a client and want something changed or deleted, the shop can do it from the app, and so can we if you ask us directly.
What we collect
From shops
- Your name, email, role and a hashed password. We never store the password itself.
- The shop's name, address, hours, phone numbers, menu, prices and settings, and the number the shop texts from.
- Payments the shop records at checkout: amount, tip, how it was paid. Not card numbers. snpz does not take a card number anywhere, and the receptionist refuses one if a caller offers it.
About clients
- Name and mobile number; email and birthday if the shop or the client adds them; notes the shop writes about the cut.
- Appointments: who, what, when, with which barber, and what happened to them.
- Consent records: the exact words the client was shown or texted when they agreed to messages, and when and how they agreed.
- Every text and email sent or received, with its delivery status, and every text we refused to send and why.
- Calls to the shop's receptionist: the transcript, a short summary, the outcome, and how long the call lasted. Calls may also be recorded. See the receptionist below.
- A six-digit sign-in code when a client asks to see their own history. The code is texted or emailed to them and stored only as a hash; it never appears in the shop's message log.
From anyone visiting snpz.ai
- Ordinary server logs: the address the request came from, the page asked for, and the time.
- On snpz.ai/go, our own server is told which step you reached, which buttons you pressed and how long you stayed, so we can see where setting up loses people. If you came from one of our emails, that is tied to the email we sent you. Nothing you type is recorded this way, it sets no cookie, it goes to no third party and it is never used for advertising. If your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, none of it is recorded.
- The typeface loads from Google Fonts, so your browser asks Google for the font file. Google sees that request under its own policy.
If you sign in with Google on a confirmation page
When we book a call with a shop, we text the owner a confirmation link. That page has a button that signs in with Google. If you use it:
- Google tells us the email address of the account you picked. We keep it on the shop's record so the calendar invitation for that one call goes to the right inbox, and so we can tell when you have accepted it.
- If you also allow calendar access, we write that one call, with its video link, onto the calendar you own, and we record that it landed. We do not read that calendar, we do not keep the access after that request, and we make no other change to it. Moving or cancelling the call reaches you by text, not by us editing the event.
- Nothing from your Google account is used for anything else, shown to anyone else, or sold. snpz's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
What we do with it
- Run the shop's calendar, website, texting and receptionist.
- Send appointment confirmations, reminders and change notices on the shop's behalf.
- Send the shop's marketing texts, and only inside the rules in the next section.
- Answer support questions, keep the service secure, and bill the shop.
We do not sell personal information. We do not show ads. We do not build profiles for anyone else.
Texting
Texts go out from the shop's own number, in the shop's name. A client gets confirmations and reminders about their own appointments; those are transactional and always allowed unless the client has replied STOP. A client only gets marketing texts if they gave written consent or sat in the shop's chair in the last twelve months, never on a Sunday or a Pennsylvania legal holiday, only between 9am and 7pm in the shop's time zone, and never more than four in thirty days. Those rules are enforced by the code that sends the message, not by a policy somebody remembers.
Reply STOP to any text to opt out of everything from that shop, and START to opt back in. Reply HELP for the shop's phone number. Message and data rates may apply.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing with subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
How we ask before we text
Every text starts with a yes we can show. The record keeps the exact words you agreed to, the time, and the connection it came from. These are the words:
- Testing the receptionist on snpz.ai: no box. The line under Call me says what the tap does: "Tapping Call me gets you one automated demo call from snpz at (717) 210-5081. No texts." After that call, "Hear your free demo" works the same way: one more automated call answering as your shop, no texts, with its own line under the button.
- On snpz.ai/start: an unticked box, "I agree to be called and texted by snpz's AI receptionist." That yes covers the demo call and one follow-up text from snpz with a link to your shop's own page.
- Asking for your first video on snpz.ai: no box; the line under the button says what the tap agrees to, "Tapping Make your first video lets snpz (Reisinger Media LLC) text this number about setting up your first video. Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of purchase." That yes covers texts from a person at snpz about setting up your first video, and nothing sent automatically.
- Booking a set-up call at snpz.ai/signup: an unticked, optional box, "Text me at this number about my receptionist: a text each time it books a client, and a weekly summary. From snpz (Reisinger Media LLC). Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of purchase." Unticked means no texts.
- On a sales call with us: if you ask for the page we showed you, the caller asks whether to text you the link and sends one text only on your yes, noted on your record with who asked and when.
- Booking with a shop online: two unticked boxes on the booking page, one for appointment texts and one for marketing, each carrying the shop's name, how often, that rates may apply, and STOP. Booking with a shop by phone: if the receptionist offers a confirmation text and you say yes, that yes is for appointment texts only. It never asks about marketing on a call.
Texts from snpz itself come from snpz's own number, in snpz's name; reply HELP to any of them for our number. Texts from a shop come from that shop's own number, in its name.
The receptionist
When a shop turns it on, calls to the shop are answered by software. It transcribes what is said so it can look up the caller and write the booking, and it keeps the transcript and a summary so the shop can see what happened on the call. Calls may also be recorded. It says it is an automated assistant whenever anyone asks, and it never takes a card number.
Pennsylvania requires everyone on a call to be told when it is being recorded. Where recording is on, callers are told at the start of the call.
Who else sees it
- Twilio carries the shop's calls and texts.
- Retell AI runs the receptionist, together with the speech and language-model providers it uses to hear, think and speak. They process the audio and transcript of a call to answer it.
- DigitalOcean hosts the service in the United States, including nightly backups.
- An email delivery provider, when the shop emails a client a sign-in code or receipt.
- Anyone the law obliges us to answer, and a buyer if Reisinger Media LLC is ever sold, who would take on this policy.
Each of these gets only what it needs to do its job, and none of them may use it for their own marketing.
How long we keep it
As long as the shop is a customer. When a shop closes its account, or asks us to delete something, it is gone from the live system within 30 days and from backups within 14 days after that. A shop can export its whole client list itself, any time, without asking anybody.
Consent records are the exception: we keep the record of what a client agreed to, and when, for as long as the law may require the shop to prove it, even after everything else is deleted.
Your choices
- Reply STOP to any text and it stops.
- Ask the shop to correct or delete what it holds about you. The app lets them do both.
- Ask us directly, using the contact below, and we will do it or tell you why we cannot.
- Send Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control from your browser and snpz.ai/go records nothing about your visit (above).
Children
snpz is a tool for businesses and is not aimed at children. A parent can book a cut for their child from their own number; the record belongs to the parent's account and the texts go to the parent.
Security
Passwords and sign-in codes are stored as hashes. Everything travels over HTTPS. Each shop's data is walled off from every other shop's, and a barber can only see their own clients and their own chair. The database is backed up nightly and a copy leaves the server every night. No system is perfect; if you think something has gone wrong, tell us and we will look the same day.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, shops are told by email before it takes effect, and the date at the top moves. Small wording changes just move the date.
