Terms of service

This is the deal between your shop and Reisinger Media LLC, trading as snpz, of Elliottsburg, Pennsylvania. Creating a shop in the app means you have read it and agree to it. It is short on purpose.

1. What you get

An AI receptionist that answers your shop's phone and writes the booking — it quotes your services, prices and hours, knows which barber does what and what you do about walk-ins, texts the client the confirmation where texting is switched on for your shop, and hands the call to a person when it should. Where you have connected your Square, it books straight into your Square Appointments and reads your menu, prices, barbers and hours from it; where you have not, it takes the booking down for you and confirms it by text. Your number and your handset stay yours; you forward your line to us, and we set that up with you on a call. The privacy policy is part of these terms.

2. What it costs

3. Your account and your staff

The owner's account controls the shop. Barbers and front-desk staff get their own sign-ins with less reach: a barber sees their own chair and their own clients. You are responsible for what anyone signed in to your shop does, so keep passwords to yourselves and remove people who leave.

4. Your clients are yours

The client list and everything in it belong to the shop. We hold it and act on it for you, and for nothing else. You can export the whole list yourself, from the app, any time, without asking. When you leave, it is deleted as the privacy policy says.

You are responsible for having the right to hold and use it: for telling clients how you use their number, and for getting their consent before you market to them.

5. Texting

Texts go out from your shop's own number and in your shop's name, so under the law you are the sender. The software refuses a marketing text to anyone without written consent or a visit in the last twelve months, on a Sunday or a Pennsylvania legal holiday, outside 9am to 7pm in your time zone, or past four in thirty days, and it writes down every refusal and why. Those guards are there to keep you inside the law; they do not move the responsibility for what you send.

You may not use snpz to text anyone who has asked you not to, to send anything unlawful, or to text numbers you did not get from your own clients.

Program terms for clients

By giving a shop your mobile number and agreeing to texts, you agree to receive appointment confirmations, reminders and change notices from that shop through snpz, and, if you separately agreed to it, occasional marketing texts. Message frequency varies with your bookings; marketing is capped at four texts in thirty days. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel at any time and HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

6. The receptionist

7. Things you may not do

Break the law, break into anyone else's shop, resell the service, scrape it, overload it, or use it to send anything abusive or unlawful. We can suspend an account that does, and we will tell you why.

8. Uptime and backups

We aim to keep the service up all the time and we back the database up every night, with a copy kept off the server. We do not promise it will never be down. If the receptionist cannot be reached, calls go to your own phone the way they did before snpz.

9. Leaving

Month to month. Cancel from the app or by writing to us; it takes effect at the end of the paid month, and there are no refunds for the rest of it. Export your clients before you go if you want them; after 30 days the data is deleted.

10. What we do not promise

The service is provided as it is. We do not promise it is free of errors or fits every shop. Our total liability to you for anything to do with the service is limited to what you paid us in the three months before the claim. We are not liable for lost profit, lost bookings or other indirect losses. Nothing here limits liability the law says cannot be limited.

11. Your responsibility to us

If someone brings a claim against us because of a text you sent, a call your shop took, or content you published through the service, you will cover it.

12. The rest

These terms are governed by the law of Pennsylvania, and any dispute goes to the state or federal courts covering Perry County, Pennsylvania. If we change these terms in a way that matters, we email shops 30 days before; small wording changes just move the date at the top. If one part is unenforceable, the rest still stands.
